A summer recap can sound simple until you zoom in on the details: a 5:15 a.m. start line, 68 miles on real roads, a Disney Cruise Line concierge happy hour, and a sunscreen mistake so specific it only burns your ankles. We’re nightcapping with the Noras and telling the truth about what we’ve been up to, including a charity bike ride supporting pediatric brain tumor research and why doing something hard with your dad becomes an instant “memory maker.”

Then we jump to family travel on the Disney Treasure ship with 16 relatives spanning ages 3 to 77. We talk about why Disney cruising works for big groups, how we keep everyone happy without over scheduling, and the small rituals that make the trip feel like a floating five star hotel. If you’ve ever tried to plan a multi generation vacation, you’ll hear practical ideas for balancing together time with the freedom to scatter.

We also get into the St. Thomas kayaking, hiking, and snorkeling adventure that turns into a comedy of rule following, forgotten water shoes, and the dreaded reverse golfer’s tan ankle sunburn. From there it’s on to Disney World without a stroller, Lightning Lane strategy, decision fatigue, and the blister that proves we walked the parks for real. We close with champagne tasting tips, reactions to wild headlines like the Empire State Building proposal, and a summer book recommendation before our upcoming author interview.

Nightcap Recap With The Noras

SPEAKER_00

Hi, thanks for joining us today. It's Nora. And Nora. Welcome back to you. Thank you. I'm so happy to be here with you today, recording our podcast. And listeners, we're gonna kind of put a different spin on things today. We are nightcapping with the Nora's. Just Nora recap. A nightcap recap. Cheers to that. Cheers to nightcap recap. It's been almost two weeks since I've seen you. It's been a minute, as the kids say. Yeah.

The 68 Mile Charity Bike Ride

SPEAKER_00

What have you been up to? Gone for a long while. I know. What have I been up to? It's like doing summer. Did a 68-mile bike ride from Beverly to Long Beach with my dad. Is that the tour to shore or shore? That one's different. Pat Max Pack. Gurf. Pediatric brain tumor research. Amazing. It was. Yeah. How did it? Because you are, hopefully our listeners know this. You are Peloton Pro. You are a devoted Peloton writer. Devoted Peloton writer. I think first and foremost, I'm a runner. Okay. But you do bike quite a bit. Several times a week, yeah. So how did doing 68 miles IRL versus stationary miles on the Peloton? Well, it was very different because usually I'm not lucky enough to have somebody to ride with. And my dad did it with me. That's fine. My dad's 73. That's amazing. So it was incredible that he rode 68 miles. Holy bike. Yeah. And he knew what he was doing because he's done it before. He's a bike rider. And I just showed up footloose and fancy free. I rentress in your cruiser. And a glass of prosecco. Hey. But he gave me some great tips. He's like, go to a bike shop and rent a bike. So I found this great bike shop off right near where we went and had a cocktail after we went on our shopping spree. Right near Imperial Oak. Oh, yes. It's called Too Busy Bike. Oh, I know. That's my dad's bike shop. Yes, yes. Oh my gosh. This guy Joe's phenomenal. Yes. That's where Al got my bike from. I love this guy. They're great. I love this. Yeah. This is a good one. In like the Willow Springs like town center. So he just like, it was no thing, grabbed the bike down for me, got me all fitted, come back and comfy seat. Dad said, go get some bike shorts. I did. Padded. Padded. Yeah. Junk in the truck. And I think that's important. It was yeah, necessary. And Mike drove my dad into Beverly with his bike. Ryan drove me into Beverly with my bike. And we had to be there at 5:15 in the morning. Oh my goodness. It was incredible. There was 460 other riders. Wow. To support PDF. And you knew 450 of them. Well, and your dad knew 455. But my dad kind of set the pace, and we had a few stops along the way. Yeah. And there were there plan stops for you along the way? Yes. So volunteers. Oh. Had like rest stops. Okay. And had sandwiches and like all sorts of treats and snacks, and it was all donated by the volunteers. That's Southside and it's better. It's so south side. It was so great. Yeah. And then at the end, How long did it take? It took us all day. Okay. How fast do we ride? About 10 or 11 miles per hour. Dang. That's fast. It was. I think we're like in the middle of the pack. That's and it was a ride, not a race. And we each had a beer afterwards and a little bite. And then Mike was in Long Beach, so he Was he like Beach U?

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So it took you so long. We hung with Sheila and then he drove me back. And it was it was awesome. It was a great memory maker with my dad. What a way to spend your day. Fun, exercising, doing something nice. And it was for a really good cause. And I was really tired when I got home. But you know what's nice though when you do things like that or when you have a really busy day, and then when you're like, I'm just gonna sit down and do nothing. You feel like you've earned it, where you're like, I'm gonna eat whatever, and I'm gonna sit down. I'm gonna put my feet up, and I have no guilt or feelings that I should be doing anything else but what I'm doing right now.

Disney Treasure Cruise With Sixteen

SPEAKER_00

Well, you probably got your steps in in Disney. Baby cakes, we sure did. Tell our listeners where you've been the last 11 days. 11 days. Oh my gosh, I thought we're never coming back. It was kind of like even two Disney trips, but kind of like a tale of two vacations. The first, I would say two-thirds of the trip we spent on the Disney cruise line on the treasure, on the Disney treasure ship. That's the name of the ship. That's the name of the ship. And I went with my entire family, my Ryan side, so 16 of us. I love that 16 of you can get together and have a good old time. It was really awesome. It was, I highly recommend it. I know some people are like, ugh, Disney. But when you have ages three to 77, and you're trying to keep 16 people happy and occupied, there like honestly, there was something for everyone. And never were we like, ugh, get me off this boat, or oh, there's nothing to do. Well, your family is like funniest family. Your funniest family ever. Oh, well. You are. We had a few laughs. Your entire family's hilarious. We had a few laughs here and there, but it was just it was like luxury. Yeah, my parents are very generous. Al calls it going on scholarship. And so we we had concierge access every day at five o'clock, start at happy hour. Nora, I had champagne five or no, seven or eight days in a row, which is why I gotta keep Jones in for it. I'm like, because it's needed in my system. Like the people who work on these boats are so nice and so kind and so lovely. Like I would get to dinner, and the woman who was our devoted server was like, Here's your iced tea. As I showed up with two glasses of champagne to dinner, also brought me an iced tea. Well hydrated. Yep, never thirsty on the boat. They knew that Rory liked chocolate milk and that Aiden liked Diet Coke, and like it was just like you didn't have to make any decisions. Or you could just be like this, and it would just poof magically appear in front of you. I love not having to make decisions. And they made up the room twice a day. What like it was like floating five-star hotel. The sheets with your family. With my family. So it was awesome. And I it's funny to see like my brother has younger kids, so they had kind of their own sort of rhythm. A different rhythm, yeah. And then my sister has two daughters who are both teenagers, and they are really good daughters and want to hang out with my sister and brother-in-law all the time. My kids wanted to scatter, couldn't get away from us fast enough. And I kind of anticipated that. So I was like, each day, one of us will pick something we all do together. So, because I knew I needed to have a little bit of together time every day. So the first full day on the boat was Father's Day, and Al picked Aladdin trivia, and we won. You did wait, is this adults, kids, and adults, families? Some of the trivias are adults only, and some of it is families. So we won Aladdin trivia on Father's Day. So we got our medals. It was very weird. So you did you bring any high? I didn't bring any. I did win three more medals, though. So as a family, we won Aladdin, and then we won Pixar Trivia. And thank God for Rory. Rory is like the encyclopedia. Like if it wasn't for Rory, we would have everyone won one. You are an encyclopedia. Rory knows way more. Like for Pixar, Rory knows way more. Rory knew like the name of the first Pixar short that everybody else in the room was like, I don't know. Wait, I I want to just change my answer from the funniest family to the smartest family. About movies. And then my brother and I, it's a little controversial. We tied for first place for movie quotes, trivia. It was me, my brother, and my parents. I really did not Sean far and away, like carried us and we tied for first place, but they still gave us a medal. That's true. Because we lost the we lost the tiebreaker, but the tiebreaker question how many extras were in Titanic? I don't know. It was something ridiculous, like 18,000 people. Oh. Which is we guessed 500. That's fair. It's a lot of people. Anyways, but we had a really nice

Kayaking Fears And The Ankle Burn

SPEAKER_00

time. And so the thing I chose to do as a family, you know, this is leading to my embarrassing moment. One day we were in St. Thomas, and we I signed us up for along with my sister and her family. It was kayaking, hiking, and snorkeling. You signed up for that? I know. If you were gonna sign up for like cricket, I mean, not like a museum cricket machine. But I was like, you know what? We never do this kind of stuff. I'd never kayaked. Let's push ourselves. That was so nice of you. Let's try something different. Great. We're an even number. We can two by twos in the kayaks. I am terrified of kayaking because I don't like the idea. I always thought kayaks had you like your feet were covered, and if you tipped over, you're like one of those ducks in a pool, and then you just drown. So I was like, oh my God, I'm gonna drown. Oh, you're family watching. Al was like, no, no, no. They're open kayaks. Like, if you tip over, you can swim. And I was like, still don't want to tip over, but okay, fine. So I signed up for it because I was like, come on, Nora, you can do it. You're up for an adventure. So I was like, Rory and I are gonna go together because we're the most nervous. Alan Rose went together, and then Kevin and Ada went together. The Mogansons were like professional kayakers. Mark and Grace were like an Olympic rowing team. I was like, come on. Rory and I were like three coin turns. We're gonna get out. We couldn't get out. We were like blocked to the dock. I'm like, Rory, roll! I'm like, row. I'm like, row right to go left. It was hilarious. We were like in the mangrove trees. Did they have to push? Did you need like triple A? You need a push. You give it a we were like pushing our paddles. So, Nora, you know I'm not a Nora who tans. I was in a rash guard. I was in long pants. So you were in long sleeves? Long sleeve rash guard. Okay. Beautiful. I look beautiful. Hat, life vest, and I wore long pants. I wore like leggings, black leggings, and then I wore Was everyone else in a swimsuit? Some people were in bikinis, and I was like, you fools, you're gonna get sunburned, you dummies. And then I had on socks and then I Socks? Yes, oh yeah. And then gym shoes. What were you doing in socks in the water? I was rowing and there was a hike, and it's said to wear gym shoes. Oh, you're a rule follower. I am a rule follower. I had my whole family in gym shoes, and then we get to the little island tour place, and they're like, you shouldn't have water shoes. And I was like, Yeah, well, so we bought some for Kevin. Just Kevin, because they didn't fit anybody else. Kevin size. Only Kevin gets water shoes. So we we do our kayak. Then we get to the the island to snorkel and do our little hike. And then we go on the hike, and I look down and I see Aiden and Kevin barefoot. I was like, Where are your water shoes? He's like, Oh, I left them at the ocean. I was like, Oh, wait, so you did get them water shoes. I got only for Kevin. Only for everyone else was like, I'm fine. So Kevin and Aidan are barefoot. They left their shoes behind. And then they're like, This is where the hermit crabs feast. And so they're barefoot by the hermit crabs. These dummies. And then they drove, they walked us by this tree and they're like, This is the poison tree. We're like, why don't you cut it down? Anyway, so that's a whole nother story. Then we start walking and it's rocky. It's rocks. And Aidan and Kevin are like, crying. I Kevin weighs almost 100 pounds. I had him on my back. Well, he had water shoes. He didn't bring them with him. Oh, he left the water shoes. The canoe and the kayak. Aiden's I'm a man, I'll be fine, as he's like crying. So then we get to like the point, and then I was like, Oh my god, thank God I had socks on. I gave Kevin my socks and I put my shoes back on, which was disgusting. So then I was like, I can't believe you didn't wear shoes. And then Aiden was like crying, like, not really crying, but like you went for it. Al finally gave Aiden his shoes. We made it back to the Gyaks. People went snorkeling. I did not, I don't like snorkeling because I don't like that that's my only way to breathe. I've never been snorkeling. I don't like the idea of a tube for breathing. So I was like, I'm good. I'm gonna sit out with Rory. So I sat out like this in my long pants, okay, and my rash guard. Everybody's done. I was okay because I had like feet in the water and I was chatting with my sister, whatever. Get back in the kayak, row, row, row your boat, back to shore. I forgot to reapply sunscreen, Nora. This was the only part of my body that was exposed. I have an opposite farmer's hand. I have never seen it before. It looks like I have socks of made of sunburn on my tan. No, it's burn. Let me see. It's burned. You think it's burned? I think it's gonna turn to tan. But but the rest of me is white. The rest of you. It's impossible. Naked my socks on. Just socks on. Zikini and socks. Nothing else is sunburned. No one. I was so careful. But your cycle will do it to me. And then you'll have a glow. My ankles are glowing. Ankle. Sexy ankles. Summer ankles. It was like a bright red thing cut. I brought so many dresses with me on this trip. Rosie called me out. She goes, Are you wearing a long dress because of your ankles? I was like, yes. I think it looks more different. Oh, you are a liar. I think they're glowing. Look at how stark it is. The whole trip. Oh my God. This it is what most like golfers have. Oh. Like the reverse hand legs and then white feet. Yeah. Where the socks go. I have a reverse golfer's dan. Yeah, you do. Kayak dan. Song I was like, oh yeah, because I was like with my feet up. Were your arms sore after kayaking? Yeah, long. Yeah. Catherine Grace chose kayaking as one of her daughter majors at Laura's sleep away camp. Well, she's back now. Oh yeah. How'd she do? Great. She did have some soreness in her lower back. And it's not, it's it's not as easy as it looks. You know how my children and their backs go. So I panicked immediately, like what has she done? And then I remembered kayaking. Canoeing was her minor or major. When I was a kid, our neighborhood or our block took a canoe trip. In Arizona? In Scott, in uh Beverly. Beverly? Where did you kayak? On the Wolf River.

unknown

What?

SPEAKER_00

And Jane Mittendorf. Wait, did your parents kayak?

SPEAKER_01

My dad. Oh, is that Jerem Hunt?

SPEAKER_00

No, oh gosh. No, no, no, no, no. Jane, of course, went with her dad. Amazing. And their canoe flipped. See, this is my worst nightmare. And Mr. Mittendorf always wore a stopwatch and glasses, and his glasses fell, and his stopwatch went who knows where. And Mr. and Mrs. Mittendorf would, when Jane would get in trouble, would always go, Jane! So Mr. Mittendorf was very upset about that. It wasn't Jane's fault. It wasn't Jane's fault. No. I was very worried about tipping over. Because also you could see the bottom, and it was very beautiful clear water, but I could also see that there are lots of plants and fish and creatures. They're like, Does anyone want to touch one of the jellyfish? I was like, no, no, we're good. We don't want to touch that. Because if a they were like, oh, does a jellyfish want to touch a human? I would hope they would say no. Same zone. Don't touch me. Animals, you do your animal thing, people will do our people thing. Oh, so I'm gonna be wearing pants all summer. No, I like though. I like your you know, I need a refresh. It looks ridiculous. It's so sad. I showed someone yesterday at a baseball game.

unknown

What are you doing?

SPEAKER_00

Is now the time we tell our listeners that my ice machine doesn't produce enough ice for our family. But you're like pouring one out for your homies. It's I know, I I know. It's all good. Thank you for the refill. But anyways, but besides my son or some. But I was so careful, Nora, and I just forgot to reapply on my ankles the one part of me that was showing. My sister, though I have to find a picture. She bought a rash guard from the the kayak company. And I never knew that term. I never knew what really what that was. It's just like a swim shirt. A swim shirt. Was it fitted? Mine was. Erin's was like resize historic. She looked crazy. And also, it had the name of the the kayaking company all over the sleeves. Like she was like a Night. She was a walking advocate. And I was like, oh, where did she get that shirt from? She's like, oh, St. Thomas kayaking adventures. I'll find a picture. Oh god. It was really, really funny. Oh my God. But yeah, her her family the day before had done like a um zip line adventure. They're very adventurous. I just need to cover my ankles more, really, is what it comes down to. That's my weak spot. So if you're wondering, listeners, what we've been up to, we've been on a cruise and on a bike.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

Disney World Without A Stroller

SPEAKER_00

And then we went to, I'm sorry, I'm talking a lot about myself, but I then we went to three days at Disney. I asked you about yourself. You don't have to apologize. But it was wouldn't it have been terrible if I was like, tell me about the cruise? And you really feel it was good. It was fine. Fine. It's fine. Yeah. But we spent three days at Disney World. And it was our first time without a stroll anymore. Not an amusement park person, but it sounds like Disney is different. You know what? I have to say, so when my kids are 8, 11, 15, and 16. We had a blast. So interesting when you tell people how old your kids are, you start with the youngest. Hmm. I guess so. They start with the oldest. Interesting. Naturally that. I have to say the funniest parts were like the stuff that went wrong. Like we're dying laughing. Like about like silly, like this. I thought this one ride was something else, and it was like such a dud and so boring. And everyone was like, ugh, like this carousella progress. And we're like dying laughing about it. What uh do you get that pass where you don't have to wait in the line? I didn't end up getting it. Or do you wait in the line so well and like did a little bit of both. So I don't know. You can get the lightning pass. The lightning lane. It's crazy. You need like a master's in Disney World now to go. But you have that. I watched a lot of videos to try to wrap my head around it. Because I just didn't want to waste time. So you can get three like skip the line passes at a time. And then once you use one, you can book another one. Okay. So we did that. And it worked out great, I have to say. Like it really worked out well. And it So Are you the planner of these trips? Do you like to be the planner because you're in charge? Yes. Because then I I was also, there were a couple times where I was like, does anyone have an opinion on this? And then if people were like, I was like, okay, fine, we're gonna do the rides I want to do it. See, because Ryan is our planner. That's nice. And I like to just be along for the ride. But I did say to Al the first day, the first part we did was Epcot. And I was like, what do you want to do? He's like, I don't know, whatever you want to do. And I was like, I don't want that. I was like, I need somebody else. Yeah. I'm like, I need you to have an opinion because I don't want to be the only one leading this train. It's kind of like dinner. What do you want for dinner? Whatever you want. Whatever you want. I'm like, oh, I don't want to see the decision. And so he was like, You want me to? I was like, get the map out. Let's go. And I have to say he was amazing. He was like, okay, what rides do we want to do? He circled them. You could tell how old we were because we had a paper map and we circled the stuff we wanted to do. And then Al was like, bing, bing, bing, bing, bing. Well, it worked out really well. But no stroller for us. That was a first. Do you ever wear bombas socks? Yes. You know who loves a bombas sock? Hey US Fall. And happy birthday to her, because we're recording on her birthday. She's a job. She's uh she in America. We're so close to our birthdays. Not obviously in age, not in years, but in number days. Yeah. Oh, that she has an awesome day. She deserves she deserves all the fireworks. She does. I Yes. But she always gifts us with bombas. So I love bombas socks too. I think they're like a snug fit. Yeah, a little hug. They're a little hug for your foot, a little compression. However, I wore them at Disney World. I got a blister. Really? I think 'cause my feet were so like 'cause they're so tight and I walked eleven miles that I got a blister on my old pinky toe. Aww. I know. I'm sorry for you.

unknown

Me too.

SPEAKER_00

So I'm not. My sunburned ankles and my pinky toe of a real disaster. You know what you need? A pedicure. You earned that. Thanks. You're

Nora With An H And Podcast Pitches

SPEAKER_00

welcome. And I did spread the word about our podcast. Why did you why do you have our name written with an H on your notes? Because that's really bothering me. There was another family in the lounge that we shared on the boat, and they with their daughter was named Nora. Nora. Nora. But they kept saying, Nora, Nora, and I was like, ugh. And I kept looking. So finally I was like, I'm Nora too. And then they're like, oh, do you want? And I was like, no, no H for me. You gotta be careful with that. You do have to be careful. And they're like, oh, she's an H. And I was like, you got that extra ha at the end. I don't know what to say. And then I was like, you know, I have a best friend Nora. No H, but we have a podcast. Oh, you're you're you were pumping promoting the podcast. Great. Totally. She also doesn't have an H, I hope you said. I yeah, of course. Thank you. Nora know H. Okay. Because I didn't say Nora ha name. And no disrespect to any of the Nora's with an H. No, that's fine. If you meet that, then that's good for you. Yeah. We're just risky. We're just Nora's knowing. Yes. We're losing Nora. Droppy. We just like a vowel at the end. But I do like Sarah with an H. Oh, okay. Yeah. See, I like Sarah without an H. I feel like I have to like it without because then I feel like I'm contradicting it. Yeah, well that's But I had a champagne

Champagne Tasting And Cork Rules

SPEAKER_00

tasting. Oh, tell me more. Tell us more. And I I wish I could in my future learn.

unknown

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my gosh. Did you ask about my silk bar? No, I didn't. But the one of the most interesting things they told us, you're not supposed to like wiggle the cork out. Sorry, and I opened the bottle. You're supposed to you're supposed to hold the cork. I'm not gonna mime it. And twist the bottom. Oh. So you you you hold it at a 45-degree angle. You stop with the motion and then twist the bottom. I heard it's not supposed to make a big pop. Correct. And my sister loves to pop the cork. She likes has it hit the ceiling and go everywhere. The champagne master. I'm sure he's a sole. Champmaster. Champ master. Champ bottle. Champ champ. He's like, hold it at a 45 degree angle and then rotate the bottle. It's just supposed to be like the cork. But even everybody in the champagne tasting was like, that's no fun. But we had the ice champagne. Oh god, that's our first one. And he was like, no, no, no, no. And I was like, oh. Did you raise your hand? My sister's like, what are you talking about? I'm like, I've had this. I bought it for Minx Rinks and Drinks. We loved it. We loved it. It's not a thought. It was not a daily drinker for us. But I was like, I thought it was going to be gross and it was it was great. And they served it on ice. Why don't we drink it in the summer? I mean, we should start. It was great. I should start tomorrow. Every day after. We're ending the podcast right now. We're going to forget it. You know what they should how they should sell it? They should sell it in a split or a half cup. Oh. Because that's the problem with bubbles sometimes. Not all the time, but sometimes. It yes. Because you're like, I don't want a whole bottle. Right. I would like a little you know in New Orleans they have a little champagne vending machine. Oh, they do. And I I don't mind like LaMarca makes a split, but that's like But that's not the anchor. It's like eh. Yeah, if there was like a little $15, $20 split, that would be nice. I'd be in. In. Yeah. Keep us honest. I've talked a lot about my trip. Well, yeah, there was you were gone 11 days. But it was amazing. I did, I missed you. Did you miss

Wild News And Bad Proposal Ideas

SPEAKER_00

any big news? Like the 10-person caterpillar costume for a half marathon? What? Did you know running is kind of my jam? Yes. There was this British running club that tried to set the Giddest Book of World record for running the furthest in a costume. And I hope they did it. They did. Two hours and eight minutes. 60-foot-long costume. That's crazy. But they had zero practice. What? Yeah, they never practiced. They were like, let's just go and see that. We're gonna improv. Does that give you like heavy jeebies? It gives me like sweat. Yeah. To run into the city. Speaking of sweat, did you see the people who climbed the Empire State Building? Yes, I have that up right here. Yes. No, what is it? Number one, you're gonna either gonna die or get arrested. I'd be so mad at Ryan if that was how we chose to proposed. Ugh. I'd be like, we could have proposed in the lobby. I still would have said yes. And I think they had to land there overnight. In the they hid in the Empire Stapling? I can't.

SPEAKER_01

Uh no.

SPEAKER_00

That's just Standby. Don't click on the body. Barbie allegedly broke into the Midtown Manhattan landmark overnight on Wednesday morning, stunned the office workers and tourists.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So many crimes. Why to hang a flag and propose? Don't. And why dressed in all black? Because they were trying to hide their identities. You're gonna get arrested because guess what? When they see you on the top, they're waiting for you when you come down. That is not a good idea. The power of love beats the power of love. What? The world knows peace. I mean, I'm all for peace and love, but uh don't climb I love for peace and love like at a wedding. But don't climb the Empire State. Because you know what it could have been? Couple dies climbing the Empire State Building, and then it's a tragedy. And don't you feel it's dumb? Yeah, like that was us. Like, that's embarrassing. What do you say, like if you're like your mom's Christmas card? It's like Jennifer got engaged. You may have seen it on the news. Be interested. Interested. The wedding will be in nine to twelve months when she's done with corona. When her ankle bracelet's removed.

unknown

Right.

SPEAKER_00

Not even. That's what my sister said. My sunburn looked like and monitor ankle bracelet, monitoring bracelet. It looks like monitor ankle and but I'm just like, don't do that. No. Or get permission. Like the crazy person in Dubai who climbed it, remember? Vaguely. Some people get permission. Just play by the rules. And did they discuss this? Like, hey, let's get engaged on top of the Empire State Building. They both like some cojones carrying that diamond ring up that far. Come in, have you dropped it? Yeah, goodbye. Did you see her Instagram footage? No. It's like her, like at the top of the Empire State Building, and you see like Manhattan below. But what and I was like, oh my god, that's it. And police cars and drones. You can hear sirens. You can hear all the traffic in the sirens. I'm like, they're waiting for you dummies. I don't get it. Also, like New York has been through enough. Like, if you're in New York and you see someone climbing up the building, like you're gonna think the worst. Like, that's scary. Yeah. Like I lived in New York when there was an earthquake, like years after 9-11, and we were like, oh. Our first instinct was not earthquake. Exactly. Yes. It's you think something different. And like, don't do that to New York. Just get engaged. Yeah, somewhere else. Poor choice. Yeah, you can't pour a nice glass of bubbles on top of the Empire. Wait, tell us more about your tasting before. Oh my god, we tried five champagnes. It's hard to remember them all. But that was better than the other. The ice, yes. I really liked the Tattinger. Oh yes. That was my favorite. Yes, that that's you can get that at the grocery store fold at Mariano's. I really like that. It's always in the case. Very good. Yes. That and I like that. That's a fan favorite at our house. He talked a lot about like brute, and then I forgot about he told us a lot. I wish there were notes because I can't remember. He talked about like these. He goes, This one is more Chardonnay. And I was like, that one was my least favorite. You know, we should do a champagne tasting. Okay, let's go. Okay. I mean, like on the pot. Yeah, let's do it. Okay. All right. We should probably wrap it up though. Yeah, well, thanks. You know, if you're still listening.

Highs, Lows, Book Tip, Goodbye

It's like we high and low. Oh, yeah, we should. Okay, what's your low? My low is that I spent two hours today looking for a shirt that belongs to Catherine Grace. When in fact, Elle had it at the lake. And I mentioned to her at the start of my hunt, Do you think you might have this shirt? And she said, no. And then later on I said, Could you please say a prayer to St. Anthony and have Sheila do the same? I'm losing my mind. And then a little later I said, Any chance you could double check your bag? Lol, my bad. And I did laugh because what can you do? Yeah, so that's my mom. But we found it. What would you want? My low is my ankle sunburn on. Yeah. And my high is an amazing trip and right now. This is really fun. This is great. My high was my bike ride with my dad. Poor memory to be sure. Yeah. So yeah, join us next week when we'll be back on track with a regular format. Scheduled program. And thank you for indulging me and letting me recap my entire vacation. Um and hey, pro tip. Oh, if you're looking for a good summer read. Yes. Dolly All the Time by Annabelle Modihan. Can I can I interrupt for a second? Go reading the book. When she was sailing on the boat? What a side. I was like, oh my God. She's on a boat, not on a boat. I was like, this is a good one. Yeah, so listeners, this is your cue in true Nora Nora fashion. We will have our fifth interview for our fifth year with our very favorite best selling author, Annabelle Monaghan, coming up in the next few weeks. So grab a book and uh stay tuned. We'll see you next week. Bye. Bye.
