A robot vacuum that records audio and video sounds like a joke until it is the reason someone gets caught cheating and then gets in trouble with the law. We start there, but we do not stay serious for long, because our catch-up after Labor Day includes a full Chardy Party debrief.
From creepy headlines we jump to home horror stories that feel way too real: a scary movie pick that leaves a grandpa rattled, plus an actual bat incident that will make you want to sleep with the lights on. Then we do what any responsible adults would do and taste-test a wild limited-edition snack, the Chicken And Waffles Oreo, breaking down what it tastes like and why novelty food trends keep winning the internet.
The heart of the conversation is comfortingly domestic: dishes. We talk everyday dinnerware, seasonal plate sets, wedding china regrets, and the oddly heated rules of loading and unloading a dishwasher. We get nostalgic about childhood plates, unpack why modern dinner plates keep getting bigger, and share a travel story where paying extra for sealed “clean dishes” suddenly makes total sense. If you love kitchen organization, home routines, household systems, and the small stuff that reveals how a family really works, you will feel seen.
Subscribe for more, share this with a friend who has strong dishwasher opinions, and leave a review with your hottest take: do you swap dishes by season or stick with one set all year?

Labor Day And The Shardy Party
SPEAKER_00Hi, thanks for joining us today. It's Nora. And Nora, to all our loyal listeners and those who have stumbled across our delightful half hour, welcome.
SPEAKER_01Welcome. And I hope everyone had a lovely Labor Day. We sure did. Would you break? We did. We had a little Labor Day break, as everyone should have. And although I did miss getting together with you and chit-chatting and having a few giggles.
SPEAKER_00We did, in fact, get together and chit-chat. We did have a couple giggles because we do, as we always do on Labor Day. And we celebrated Shardy.
SPEAKER_01We really did it right this year. Shardy Party. Shardy Party was a huge head. So happy for you and Al to have a night to celebrate your favorite wine. And Ryan and I can be supportive and support you in that adventure. Al and I did a nice job of making sure to honor your beverage of choice. Well, I was going to mention that. It was a very lovely surprise that you and Al got us a keg, me and Ryan and our other guests. Yes. We had about, yeah, a very healthy group. Yeah, we had we were off to a slow start. Yes. It trickled in, but people came thirsty. People came ready to celebrate Shard. We had a nine-liter. Is that how big it was?
SPEAKER_00It was equal to a case of wine. Yes.
SPEAKER_01Mm-hmm. And shout out to our friend Paul Sorrino who hooked us up with our big and I was so happy.
SPEAKER_00Big boy wine bottle his wife made an appearance. I know. It was I I was excited that they saw the bottle in action.
SPEAKER_01Yes. Well, I was showing someone a picture of you and Al in the big giant nine-liter bottle of wine, and they said, Oh my god, it's as big as Nora.
SPEAKER_00The best was the when you put the regular bottle, the fine that it looked like a shard shooter.
SPEAKER_01It did. Or it looked like, oh, you got it from the mini bar. Yes. Like it looked so itty bitty. Uh but yeah, nine liters of shard down. Nine liters of shard in a bottle of persector at midnight. Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_00Lady.
SPEAKER_01You know that's it comes but once a year. Uh but it was a blast. Thank you for that. Sound I recognize from anywhere. I did pop it open, and it was like your head snapped back. You were like, um it comes but once a year. It comes but once a year. You gotta celebrate, Shardy. So it was a blast.
SPEAKER_00It was. It was so cool.
SPEAKER_01And we were so lucky with the weather because it was hot sitatsy a couple nights before, and it was beautiful.
SPEAKER_00It sure was.
A Spy Vacuum Catches Cheating
SPEAKER_00And in other news, I was reading a story about this man in Taiwan who suspected his wife was cheating.
SPEAKER_01Awww. And he was right. Oh boy. But guess what he did? He changed the setting on his vacuum. Oh, like the room.
SPEAKER_00Um, yeah. To record audio and video while it roamed around the house. No. And that's how he caught her. Oh no. So if you're being unfaithful, watch it. Unplug. Unplug. But that ended up being illegal. Wait, why? Because it's a well, I think that was bad legal representation. But he was unlawfully recording her. But it was in her house.
SPEAKER_01But it's her house. Yeah. So I don't know the laws. Did he post it?
unknownNo.
SPEAKER_01I think Taiwan is pretty strict. Haven't there been like movies about people who go to Taiwanese prisons and those are not movies that I watch. I think I've heard about them, but not watched them. But wasn't that clever? Oh, that was yeah. Yeah. Until you lint. How that's not fair. Your wife is cheating on you and you leave. You get in trouble? Yeah. Oh man. Is he still in jail? I don't know. I hope he gets out. I hope he finds someone else who really loves it. I'll follow up. Ask me next week. Okay, I will.
Backrooms Movie Night Gone Wrong
SPEAKER_01My father-in-law and mother-in-law are in town visiting, and he and Rory stayed behind one night to watch a movie. And Rory is my Pixar kid. He loves these like Japanese animation movies. And I was like, oh, what are you gonna watch with Bobby? That's what they call him. And he was like, Backrooms. The like horror movie? I don't know what that is. Oh, good. And I've not seen it because I don't like to be scared. And I was like, Bob, I don't I've heard like this movie's pretty rough. Like, you do not have to watch back. He's like, oh, I like scary movies and like being a good grandpa and like towing the line and was it at the theater? No, they watched it in our house. Okay. And the next day I was like, how was he? He's like, not great. He's like, number one, I didn't understand it. Number two, there were some really disgusting parts. What did Rory think? Rory liked the cinematography and like the technical aspects of it, but I don't think he was that crazy about it either. Because then my father-in-law said he's like, we looked up a review, and the person who reviewed it really didn't understand it either. Oh. He's like, there was someone's head in a drawer. And I was like, Oh no! I read a scary story. Oh. But it wasn't as scary as the movie. Yeah, what did you read? There was this doctor in Virginia who was sound asleep with her husband. Okay. Minding her own business. And about six o'clock, she woke up in the morning to a bat trying to get inside her mouth. Stop it.
SPEAKER_00Uh-huh. No. No.
SPEAKER_01What? Why? Why? Why was the bat what did she have in her mouth that the bat wanted? Oh my gosh, I don't know.
SPEAKER_00But she was dreaming that a little mouse was trying to get inside her mouth. And then she like reached and woke up and screamed. Her husband caught the bat. What? So that they could test it for rabies. Oh shoot. Sure.
SPEAKER_01That was some fast thinking. I know. Because I would have been like, get it out of here. Well, I guess because it was confined in their room, it was easier to catch. What? But isn't that so terrifying? Oh my gosh. Al's cousin lives in Westchester, New York, and she was putting her kids to bed one night, and all of a sudden flying squirrels came through her daughter's closet, like through the roof, through the closet. It is a flying squirrel. Oh. It's a squirrel that glides. It's got like between its like armpaws and foot foot foot paws. Okay, it's undercarriage? You know, like between like its hand and foot, there's like skin. And so it jumps off a tree and it glides. Does it really fly? Not fly like a bird, but it will coast and fly like sore, like a hang glider. And they came through. That's like my worst nightmare. Were they like nesting in her attic? And then they were like scared and like flying, and it was a no way. Stop. That's worse than a bat. Oh, I don't know, but no, to wake up to that. I wouldn't want either. I don't want either. And thank you for the iced tea. Oh, you're welcome.
Bat In The Mouth Nightmare
SPEAKER_01Great listeners. Nora provided a lovely spread of gummy bears and iced tea, which is like one of my favorite snacks.
SPEAKER_00Well, actually, I have something to pair the ice to with. Oh you know we love Noria. Oh my god, is there a new one? There's only one. Oh my god. I don't think we've tried it, but we've tried so many if we've tried it.
SPEAKER_01We really need to make a list of tell you the flavor. Or do you want to go? I'll guess. I'll guess, I'll guess, I'll guess. Do you care if I touch them? No.
SPEAKER_00I don't have there's no good presentation.
SPEAKER_01I didn't wake up with a bat in your mouth.
SPEAKER_00I haven't tried them. I've thought about trying them.
SPEAKER_01Okay. I'm just gonna pass it to you. Okay. Should I smell it? Uh, if you want. If it's cranberry sauce, I might throw up. Okay. I was like, oh, it's spicy. Hmm. It has an interesting like waffle pattern. I did not notice that. Tastes like syrup to me. Hmm. It kind of it's got like a little mapley hint. It kind of reminds me of those is it Belgian waffle? It is. It's Belgian. Belgian waffle. Stroop waffle. Chicken and waffles. Chicken and waffles? Yeah. No. Chicken and waffles. I can't believe I ate this. Sick. What is on the chicken? Syrup? What chemicals are in here to make it taste like chicken? I probably can't pronounce any of them. Why am I eating this whole thing? That's good. Papririka's in there. Red 40, lake blue one, caramel color.
SPEAKER_00Cornstarch, fructose, corn syrup. Oh, I can actually say most of these. Oh. Natural and artificial flavor. Imagine that. Oh, smoke flavor. I don't think that's supposed to be very good for you. Molasses.
SPEAKER_01Oh, chicken and waffle. Oh, there's some corn protein in here. But no chicken. No, no, no, no. Okay. I was a little bit worried that it was gonna be like chicken. Oh, black pepper and celery, though. Seasoning, not the real thing. God forbid. Just spit. Well gross.
SPEAKER_00Did you think it was that bad?
SPEAKER_01No, it's not that bad, but then you heard it. I'm so glad you didn't tell me what it was. I had a feeling you probably wouldn't try it if I did. Oh, so there's Oh, this is interesting. We should do this. What? So there's three different kinds out right now. Oreo twist. Ew, twist lick vote. Appreciate that. I like that word lick. So there's chicken and waffles, banana pudding, and deep fried. So we should try them all. Yeah, we we really should. This one is the loser. You think? Yes. I didn't think it was that bad. I know, but it's just disgusting.
SPEAKER_00It's just like chicken and a cookie? Chicken cookies are. Chicken cookies?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, she's sick. No, thank you. Chicken cookies. Chicken cookies. Chicken cookies.
SPEAKER_00Well, my kids ate quite a few of the chicken cookies because when I see that.
SPEAKER_01And I went to pull them from the pantry. Instead of chicken nuggets. Chicken.
unknownOh.
SPEAKER_01Oh boy. Should we check in with our sponsors?
Chicken And Waffles Oreo Test
SPEAKER_01Let's do it. So good to see you. I feel like I haven't seen you in ages. Oh my gosh. Yesterday I was in Oakland. I got myself in quite a pickle. Oh, you know how I feel about pickles. And I have to tell you, I had the greatest service at my Caggerty Buick GMC. I left in a new car. Psst get out of town. I was in and out in a couple hours. I got all set up in a brand new 2026 Acadia. I got a chance to look at the Yukon, the UConn XL. I checked out the terrain. For a moment, I thought maybe I was Hummer EV material, but they talked some sense into me. And in no time, I was locked and loaded. Were you able to get it with all the features you wanted? They had everything available right on the lot. It was no trouble at all. And now I'm living large in my brand new car. Oh, and it's got that new car smell. New car. So I'm telling you, if you're in the market for a new car, head on down to 93rd and Cicero. And if you do, just tell them Nora sent you. And now back to the
Sponsor Break And New Car Smell
SPEAKER_01show. Our topic today dishes. Dishes. Dishes. And we didn't talk about this.
SPEAKER_00Hopefully you're thinking about like plates, cups. Mm-hmm. Kinds of dishes. Yes. Dishes. Not like homemade dishes.
SPEAKER_01Oh, no, no, no. I I thought of flatware, but you say. The
Everyday Dishes Versus Seasonal Sets
SPEAKER_01one thing I did think about that I meant to look up and I forgot, and I might edit this out is, or maybe you looked it up. When people are like, oh, they were dishing, like gossiping? Or like and I always wonder where that came from. So stay tuned. By the end of the podcast, I'll have figured out. Okay, great. I'm curious.
SPEAKER_00I want to know, do you use the same dishes daily, or do you use different ones depending on the time of day or the season?
SPEAKER_01So a little I love my everyday dishes that I got from our wedding. They're from Pottery Barn. They're called Ann's Artistry. And they have flow they look like watercolor flowers. And I love them. So I really do. We use those all year round, except for Christmas, since I was late to the party on Sboat. Okay. But I do have really nice, I mean, they're not really nice, like they're fancy, but I bought from the Roller Rabbit Target collaboration, like plastic, like melamine plates. And I love them. They're so cute and they're really happy. Oh, yeah. So I like those, like casual, like for toast for breakfast. And then the the nice like wedding ones for dinner. Got it. You are seasonal plates, girl, and it's so cool. I am. I I buy way too many. But you buy them all? Well, not all of them. Like I my wedding china is my like spring china, spring and summer. Oh. My fall china is my grandma's. Oh. My Christmas china is also my grandma's. Yeah, mostly I buy it all.
SPEAKER_00I don't have any besides the china. I don't have any. Oh, I do have a set of plates for my grandma. That's nice. Like salad-sized plates. But yeah, I love dishes.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I love to switch them out per season. Usually I use like a real, every now and then I'll use a plastic. Like I have plastic spowed.
SPEAKER_01Oh, okay. I have paper plates that I'll use for like if we're in a real hurry in the morning for breakfast too. I don't often use those, but I think if I did, I would really like that. Paper plates? Yeah. I really like a paper plate too when I'm cooking to like rest stuff on. Yeah, so you can just so it's it's not messy on the counter. Or like if I have measuring cups or spoons that I need to use, and I'll rest them on the paper plate. Oh, that's a good idea. Keep it just to kind of
The Childhood Plate We Both Had
SPEAKER_01keep it clean. Do you remember the dishes you had as a kid? Yes. They were great. They were yes, they were like so heavy and thick, like yellow and white, like 70s pattern. Wait, we had those. Really? I wonder if I can. Oh, I wonder if we had the same. Oh my gosh, wouldn't that be funny? That would be funny. I think they were very trendy in 1971 when my parents got married. Wait, so my parents got married in 81. Okay. They were kind of timeless. I don't know. Yeah, right? You're there. You found your mom's plates? Huh? Wait, let's see. Lisa.
SPEAKER_00I found them quick, too. Yes! Those are my pennies. Yes! Those were yours.
SPEAKER_01With the matching bowls? They're the best bowls ever. You could put so much cereal in them. Oh my gosh, this?
SPEAKER_00Oh my gosh, what is it called? Hacienda Gold. Amazing. They're a rarefied Franciscan hacienda gold Madeira yellow dinner plates.
unknownWow.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, we have they were hefty.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, they were a solid plate.
SPEAKER_01And those, and they're on sale for eBay. $62 a piece? $62 for three of them. Okay. So I guess my family can share. Three at a time. Three at a time, yeah. Those plates are burned in my memory. Your mom doesn't still have them. Mm-hmm. Oh, she does? Yeah. She still does. Don't use them? She doesn't really cook. But she does have them. Oh my gosh. Yeah, the bowls for sure. My dad uses the bowls for cereal 100%.
SPEAKER_00So bowls plates and bowls back then. Well, I don't know about bowls, but plates were a different size. They were typically nine inches in diameter.
SPEAKER_01And now our dinner plate size is roughly 11 to 12 inches in diameter. No wonder we're evolved getting thinner. Yeah. The plates are bigger. I just can't believe we have the same. I'm gonna, I should bring it. So your mom doesn't have them anymore. No, no, no. No. In Scottsdale, when they redid their kitchen in the, I don't know, probably early 90s. She bought the they were from Pottery Barn and they had a black rim with white designs, and they were in the movie Jumanji. And I remember thinking how cool it was that we'd see. But she still has those. That's cool. I wish I had gotten different wedding like fancy china. Did you get I will I have like a Kate Spade like fancy china? But it's kind of boring. I wish I would have gotten something boring. Simple. Yeah. Okay. So you're a nice Nora. I wish I would have gotten something with a little bit more design. But I was 25 and I think I was like, Well, some people didn't even register for China. I know. Which I think is a miss. A huge miss. You're gonna want it at some point. I know. And the Waterford?
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01Something you that you're like, I'm gonna just go pick up a vase. Pick up a set of high balls. 100%. I love using my China and taking it out. And it just it does feel very, very special. What about your
Dishwasher Loading Rules And Pet Peeves
SPEAKER_01dishwasher? How do you feel about unloading and loading the dishwasher? I In particular about how it is loaded. Oh, you are? Yes. There's one in every family. There's one in every family. I like to have forks, spoons, and then I put the knives in the little slots. And then I like straws and like little stuff on the third rack, cups and bowls on the like on the second floor. And then plates on the first floor. Plates on the first floor. Do you put And I like to have them all facing the same way so that when I take them out, yes. Do you like to put large things in there, like a nine by thirteen pan? Oh pot? Well, I will if it if there's room and then I don't have to wash it. Yeah. And if it's dishwasher safe, why you do not? Yeah, I just throw it all in there and it drives Ryan mad. Oh, but I like to do it organized though. I start organized, but I'm like, I'll throw one more thing in there. I'll throw one more thing in there. Right. I'll throw one more thing in there. And then it's just like a rich wash. Yeah. I will say though, Al typically unloads the dishwasher. He does, which is very nice. It is nice.
SPEAKER_00I find I the rule at our house is everybody unloads a shelf. Oh, they'll hustle to it to get the top shelf. To get the top one. Yeah. But I am the only one in our family who puts all the dishes away.
SPEAKER_01Because if the kids unload the third row or Frian unloads the dishwasher, there's always things on the counter. Elle does that too. Like where I'm like, you know where this goes. We just renovated our kitchen two years ago. Like we put all this stuff back. I have the same thought. I was like, am I the only one who knows where water bottles go? Yeah. I don't think so. Cause you know how to take them out if you eat it. Isn't that incredible?
SPEAKER_00That is funny.
SPEAKER_01Sometimes I just leave them on the counter, but they never go away. Yeah. No.
Paying Extra For Clean Plates
SPEAKER_01The when we were in China, I think I told you the story. We were in rural China because we went to Xian to see the terracotta warriors. Uh-huh. And we were at this local place, and our tour guide was with us and translator, and the waitress came over and they were talking. And then our tour guide said, She wants to know if you would like to play pay extra for the clean plates, for the clean dishes. Oh, I don't remember this. Yes. Yes, we would like to pay extra for the clean dishes. And so they came out. It was just white plastic, but it was a plate, a bowl, silverware, and it was all like hermetically sealed in plastic. So it was like sanitized, almost kind of like tools and a nail. I were like, okay. I want to see the dirty one. Oh, do you though? No. No, you don't. But then that was the same dinner where I was like, I don't like spicy. No spicy. Absolutely no spice. And then the noodles came and it was so spicy. Maybe they misunderstood. I was the only one who ordered a drink. I ordered, I think I had a regular Coke because they didn't have Diet Coke. And I was like, it's fine. And then our oh no, they didn't have Coke. They only had seven up. So I had seven up. And our door guy was like, oh gosh, this is so spicy. Can I have a sip of your seven up? I was like, just have it.
SPEAKER_00I was like. Keep in mind, you were the couple that wanted sanitized plates.
SPEAKER_01Clean dishes. But I'm gonna share a soda with a stranger. I was like, this was not how they saw this going.
Giant Royal Platters And Plate Smashing
SPEAKER_01Have you ever seen the cro Wait, I forget. Have you been to You've been to London, right? Yeah, hasn't been. Correct. Did you see the crown jewels when you went? Yes. And like the gigantic plates that they have in there? I don't know if I remember those. Big, giant, like huge hubcap golden plates and dishes and stuff. Where I'm always like, I would love to see that on someone's stuff. Be like, we need the big bowl. You would need two people to carry it. And I'm like, what are you putting on this? It's like a bottle, the bottle of shard. You need it for two person pouring. It's a two person job, some of these dishes. And I'm like, what does one put on that? Chicken and waffles. Yuck. But it always just makes I would like whenever I would go to the see the crown jewels, I'm like, aren't just imagining like a like you could put an entire Thanksgiving dinner on it. Like a platter. Like you could put your turkey, mashed potato, stuffing, anything on this. Like it would be like a TV dinner. You could fit your whole Thanksgiving dinner on these plates.
SPEAKER_00Like, you're in it. Easy. Yeah, everybody just dig right in. You just get a lazy Susan. Really? I was thinking about in Germany, as a pre-redding wedding tradition, they have guests gather and smash porcelain dinner plates outside the bride and groom's house. Oh no. And the couple has to sweep it up together. And then it's said to bring good luck, ward off evil spirits, and prove that they can work together as a team.
SPEAKER_01And don't wear bare feet. Like, can't we do something else to prove teamwork? Right? I don't think so. But then I thought about your sister, because didn't she go to Switzerland and there was a few years? She was in Denmark and they were shooting off fireworks. And I think also smashing plates.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01Why? Well, don't Greek people do that too? Rihanna does too. She's a whole time about breaking dishes. Oh, really? I think so. I don't know. I mean, if I break a dish, I feel sad about it. Yeah.
The Great Flatware Disappearance
SPEAKER_01I don't want to get too real. Yeah, it's like, ha ha, a couple of things. Because a couple of mine are chipped, and every time you see it, I'm like, dry. I get sad about the fact that we are so low on forks and spoons in our house. Where did all my small forks go, Nora? They're not here. Tell you that. Like Rose is still relatively small. She's eight. Like, she needs a smaller fork, and we have two. Like a salad fork. Yes. And honestly, I prefer a salad fork at dinner? Yeah. Yeah. Well. No, I gotta give it to my daughter. Like, I gotta use a big fork. I know.
SPEAKER_00And it wouldn't be Oh, my life is so hard. It wouldn't be that difficult for me just to order another set of flatware at Creighton Barrel.
SPEAKER_01Like these aren't I know. And they're still available. I've looked. Oh, you could get the same ones. Yes. See, I bought new flatware and I don't like it. I bought it from Pottery Barn and I don't like the knives. And number one, the knives like were bending. Number two, I realized I like cutting my big turkey on my golden fist. Well, exactly. Like I'm not cutting anything crazy. But there I was like, this knife is bent. Boo. Poor quality. Whatever. Don't make them like they used to. So I don't know. But I should just order or buy, go and look at them and feel it to make sure I like the feeling. What's wrong with your knife? So the the knife hand so my ones that I got from when we got married have kind of like a bubble letter handle on it. I mean it's not in the shape of a letter, but it's like a a teeth? It's like a more of like a rounded. It's not flat. Okay. And the new ones I bought are flat, and I found like if I use it to spread peanut butter or butter that it's un uncomfortable in my hand. They call that erronomic. Yeah. It just feels I don't like it. Oh. So I brought back the old knights. Where was the other knot? Where was the other flatware? From Bloomingdale. But I mean, did you just put it in a drawer? Yeah, I put it in a bag. I, for whatever reason, didn't throw it away and I was glad I didn't. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00So yeah, I don't know.
SPEAKER_01So now you're gonna get rid of the old and put or get rid of the new and bring back the old? Yeah. But I'm missing like all the little voice and all the little spoons. They've all been thrown away, I'm sure. Because where else could they have gone? Not here again. Not here again.
SPEAKER_00Because we're in a shortage too. Oh yeah. Oh not easy.
SPEAKER_01No, it's not. I wish you could just buy the little spoons and forks because I feel like that's the ones that go missing. Oh, like a la carte. Yes. Yeah, I don't think you can. Just start a new store. I'll have eight salad forks and just two. Teaspoons and salad forks. That's it.
SPEAKER_00There's a whole generation of us that are looking for those. I know the burbas were short on spoons. See? Yeah.
SPEAKER_01That's a thing. That's a thing. Should we launch into highs
Highs And Lows To Close
SPEAKER_01and lows? Let's do it. Where are you at? My low this week is that we were spread way too thin this weekend. You had a lot of good stuff going on. We had stuff going on, sports stuff going on. And I just don't like that feeling where you're constantly playing catch-up. Yeah. All day. It's hard when you're at something and you're like, this has to end on time so I can get to the next thing. Yeah.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_01That's tricky.
SPEAKER_00I still don't have anybody home.
SPEAKER_01Like my husband and my daughter still aren't home. We were lucky that our game we had three games this week, but it was Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Oh, that's nice. So we did get lucky with that. But I this is like a high low. So we're getting our bathroom redone. That is a super high. So that's a high. That's amazing. But we had to move out. So I'm staying with Rose. And Al is staying with Kevin. But then on the weekends, I'm staying with Kevin because he was like, well, why? Anyway. And then Al is with Rose. And so we've been sharing double beds with our eight and eleven-year-olds for the past two weeks. And on Friday night, Rose went to the hotel and stayed with my in-laws. So you had the bed to yourself? No, because it was Al's night to be in Rose's room. Oh man. So Al was like, oh, Lil, what side of the bed should I sleep on? Oh, the whole bed. It's like I hate you so much. Meanwhile, you're sleeping like a penicillin. Oh my God. Because Kevin takes up the whole bed. And I'm like, mmm. I was like, I'm so mad. How long have you been sleeping? Well, so I've been going to bed at like 9 30. Yeah, I like that. So it's been, I'm just totally off. Like, I haven't seen the news. I'm not getting like my done at nine. But I'm just like so off my game. But I have had good sleep because I'm going to bed so early.
SPEAKER_00But I'm hard for you to fall asleep that early.
SPEAKER_01It's I'm getting better at it. And I'm doing my sleep stories. I am. It's bizarre. And I gotta wake up earlier so I can start to exercise again, but that's a whole nother conversation. What about your high?
SPEAKER_00My high is last night after football. We played in Beverly-ish. We took the boys to Topnotch for burgers and shakes. And it was so nostalgic. I mean, the menus are the same. The plates are the plates are the same. Plates. Everything's the same. So it has been for 80 years. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. So that's so cool. I ordered a shake. Amazing.
SPEAKER_00I ordered a chocolate shake and I drank half of it. It was so good. I came home so fat and happy. Yes. Put my pajamas right on and watch college football. Perfect.
SPEAKER_01That's great. Yeah. Um I ordered a felt cork board from Amazon for my mud room. Uh-huh. And I it came in tiles. What is a felt corkboard? It's it like works like a cork board, but it's made of felt. So it came as square tiles. And so I put them up and it looks so good. You're gonna say no, I don't. But I and I got clear tags, and I'm so excited because I have the I have- What are you gonna put up? What are you gonna take? I have stuff like schedules or like permission slips, like just junk. And right now it's on the magnetic board I have by the bath by the powder room, and it just looks so junky.
SPEAKER_00Oh, so excited to move it all into the mud room. Is everybody color-coded, or did you just pick four color?
SPEAKER_01I can't wait. So I got the the felt up. I just got the tax. Okay. So I can't wait to like put stuff up. Tack stuff up. Oh my god, I'm so excited about it.
SPEAKER_00Well, you get home and uh get to work on that. And uh and we'll uh see you next week. Yeah. Bye. Bye.
